Beton7 presents the installation of Tonia Avdelopoulou “Hanging Gardens”, an interweaving of sound and visual acts, aiming to revive the romance and the worship of love.

"Everyone has a "space" in mind for "gardens". Were the Hanging Gardens of Babylon a dream; Could there have been only in the minds and imagination of the Greek poets and historians, or were invented by the soldiers of Alexander the Great; The effort to figure the beauty out of the ugly creates aesthetic and physical pleasures of an urban landscape-theme.

An artist performance “Silence in the fields of sound...” will take place on the opening and 23 & 24 February at 7.30pm.

Music composition: John Paxevanis
Poetry: Sri Aurobindo
Music: Aliki Avdelopoulou
Singers: Nikos Karagiaouris, Nikos Christidis, Tonia Avdelopoulou, Aliki Avdelopoulou
