“W FOR BANKER”

StageART Productions presents the play “W for Banker” by British playwrights Ray Kilby and John Steinberg at BETON7, from Saturday 24 March and every Saturday and Sunday until Sunday 22 April.
The play, which was first staged in London in 2010, provides an insight into today’s society, with numerous unexpected comic moments and many common points with contemporary Greece.

John is a self-made man from North London. Everything in his life is exactly as he’d dreamt: a successful career, a marriage to a wealthy wife, children, a luxury house. The advent of the financial crisis sends him, and everything he has achieved, into freefall. He ends up abandoned by his wife and children. The only remaining and defining person in his life is his Russian mistress, Lenka. Lenka continuously tries to help him feel better and boost his morale… John has not realized that his mistress is an exceptionally ingenious person with amazing mathematical skills. Lenka has an ace well hidden up her sleeve; in the final game of skills between herself, John and his wife she will be the one to redefine their relationships and separate the winners from the losers.
