Wallace Shawn is a known actor, theatrical writer and essayist. He made his cinematografical debut with the film "Manhattan" directed by Woody Allen. He haw played in many films and tv series and he has also written the script of "My dinner with Andre", directed Louis Malle.

Wallace Shaw's plays - that were banned due to their content for many years from the theaters- are categorized among the Theate of the Absurd and usually describe  emotional and sexual conflicts. He is one of the best writers of Royal Court in which he has produced many of his plays especially "Our late night" twice. On the first production in London at 1977, police broke into the theatre and referred the whole production to the English Parliament with charges of pornography.

The performance was played in New York at 1975 and won the Obie price which is given to the best Off-Broadway performance of the year.

The play
Three women and two men meet in a party in New York of 70's. As they confess their fantasies, their fears and desires, their inhibitions seem to leave and fantasies come to reality. Neurosis, self-destruction desires, boulimic spurts, sexual realism and extreme sarcasm emerge from this fussy late night.
