A program from Goethe-Institut presented in partnership with the Beton7 Cultural and Art Center:  An anthology of 37 projects, which all excelled at German and international film festivals and are able to provide an insight through ought the creation and evolution on the field of animation in Germany during the period 2000 -2007.

The filmmakers of the program not only give life to various materials, dolls or drawings, but are also able to form entire worlds of the most differential and innovative ideas. The film techniques range from design to animated dolls, painting and animation with plasticine material, up to the three-dimensional computer animation.

Almost all the films competed in German and International film festivals and won several awards.The film makers have studied in German Colleges and Universities such as:  the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg, School of Film and Television «Konrad Wolf» Potsdam-Babelsberg, School of Fine Arts in New Media Art Cologne, School of Fine Arts Kassel - and are currently working in sectors of manufacture and education.

‘Here and There’ (85'): 12 movies about relations between friends, neighbors, partners, meetings with the neighbor or the opposite human.

‘In this and in other worlds’ (84'): From one end of the world to another and between different worlds with 10 movies.

Tuesday, February 12
‘He and She’ (89'): 7 movies about love.

Tuesday, February 19
‘Dreams and demons’ (79'): The time to awaken the ghosts in 8 films.

(The movies are filmed in various languages. English subtitles will be provided unless the movies are silent)
